Ponystep

I was amazed at finding this amazing website today, it is called Ponystep and it has very few entries, but they are incredibly solid ones nonetheless, I found a selection and the reason I love each one will be discussed underneath a few preview photos and the link to the full article;

Issue 2: Yours Cruelly, Elvira x

This article is a fantastic read, more fun to read than inspiration for this exactly, but the images were exactly what I found inspirational, first of all the gothic way they do the bold variations in colour, which is done with a high flash, the images look amazing, and are shot in a very fun and happy way even though the styling in them could be construed as gothic. This is something to think about when illustrating in my sketchbook; the poses of the model can change an ambience dramatically, which is why I need to show this in my illustrations to explain my concepts of energy in the final piece initial ideas.

This is one of the best editorials I have seen; ever. I absolutely love how they use the 50's pin up clothing with the plastic colouring along with a bigger model, this is such a combination of ideas however it works amazingly. I take a huge amount of inspiration from this shoot because of the colours. I think if I combined the colours from this with the gothic nature of the above article, I could get something really great.

I love the way this video is edited, which is pretty much all I have to say, it is done in a very fun and free-spirited way and I love how it is filmed like a home video, which is just great to add another dimension to the concept, very real.
